HOPEWELL Church Family, what is your prayer today?

Have YOU thanked God for specific blessings? Ask God to help you become more thankful and less critical. PRAY for personal revival in your own life.

PRAYER NEEDS LOCALLY, NATIONALLY and INTERNATIONALLY 

The President has asked the State Department and USAID to look into the current world food

crisis, and has released $200 million worth of food aid from U.S. sources. Pray for a resolution   

to this crisis, asking God to meet the needs of those most deeply impacted.

Pray as President and Mrs. Bush host President Lee Myung-bak and Mrs. Kim Yoon-ok of the

Republic of Korea for meetings at Camp David. The two leaders will discuss shared values of

freedom, security and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region, the ratification of the U.S. – Korea

Free Trade Agreement, denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula through the Six-Party Talks,

continuing our cooperation in aiding the new democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan, and further

strengthening the U.S. – Republic of Korea Alliance. This will be President Lee’s first  visit  since

he took office.

Pray for the members of the Virginia Tech community as they have now marked the one-year

anniversary of the tragic shootings which left 33 dead. Pray for healing and help for aching hearts

and for continued strength.

Pray for Senator Arlen Specter as his cancer has returned. Diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease in

2005, he had been in remission until now. Pray for him as he continues his battle, asking God

for full healing.

Pray for contractors who also place themselves in harm’s way as they work in a variety of

roles in Iraq, whether rebuilding, providing security or consulting. Pray for God’s protection

and peace over each life.

• Thank You Lord for the good report on John Brady.

• Thank You Lord for the continuing improvement in Lucas Cummings and that he could be home with his mom.

• Praise God that Karen Netterfield is feeling good.

• Praise God that Wava Smithwick is home from the hospital and feeling good.

• Thank You Lord for the return home from the hospital of Billie Poff.

• Praise God for the good stress test report on Leroy Jolly.
